Audi has added another electric vehicle to its lineup, but this one is different – it’s a mountain bike, not a car. The bike gets its power from a company in Italy called Fantic, and it’s equipped with a really good suspension system.

This special mountain bike weighs about 56 pounds and is inspired by Audi’s RS Q E-Tron, a car that won the Dakar Rally. It’s painted in black and gray with orange highlights, just like the rally car. The bike is similar to the Fantic XEF 1.9 Factory model and has big tires – 29 inches in the front and 27.5 inches in the back.

The bike’s suspension system is made by Öhlins and can handle rough terrain really well. It can travel up to 180 millimeters (about seven inches), and it comes with Sunstar brakes.

The electric motor runs on a 36-volt lithium-ion battery and can provide up to 67 pound-feet of torque, which is a lot. There are four levels of assistance for riders to choose from – Eco, Tour, Sport, and Boost – and they can go up to 20 mph. After that, riders have to rely on pedaling.

Depending on the terrain and how much assistance is used, the bike can go anywhere from 12 to 90 miles on a single charge. Riders can switch between modes using a screen on the handlebar.

You can buy this mountain bike directly from Audi in different sizes – Small, Medium, and Large – for $9,795, not including taxes. Deliveries will start in the summer of 2024, but Audi hasn’t said how many bikes they’ll make. They also offer accessories like gloves, jerseys, water bottles, and bike racks that work with some of Audi’s SUVs.
