Within the segment of conventional off-road SUVs, Toyota’s most recent models, such as the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser and the 2024 Lexus GX 550, are intended to bridge the gap with GM’s Q1 sales data. The forthcoming 2025 Toyota 4Runner, following the footsteps of the N280 predecessor in 2009, promises to further bolster Toyota’s lineup.

Based on a leak preceding its official debut, the sixth-generation 4Runner shares design cues with the N400 Tacoma, sporting similar exterior and interior styling. Despite subtle differences, such as the absence of certain details on the 4Runner, the resemblance is evident, offering a familiar yet refreshed look.

Switching to Toyota’s TNGA-F global truck platform, the 4Runner promises enhanced performance and versatility. With nine trim options and various drivetrain configurations, including 2WD, part-time 4WD, or Full-time 4WD, Toyota caters to diverse preferences.

Equipped with Tacoma’s 2.4-liter four-cylinder i-Force engine, delivering 278 horsepower, or the optional i-Force Max hybrid producing 326 horsepower, the 4Runner ensures ample power for off-road adventures.

Enhanced off-road capabilities, a towing capacity of up to 6,000 pounds, and a robust construction underscore the 4Runner’s commitment to rugged performance. With a fall release date and Toyota’s renowned reliability, the 2025 4Runner promises to be a worthy successor to its esteemed lineage.
