Despite knowing about its impending arrival for some time, Cadillac has been reserved in revealing the Optiq. The model was confirmed last fall, but until recently, only two photos were available. Now, thanks to China, we get our first look at the luxury car’s interior.

Set to hit the market later this year as a 2025 model, Cadillac has kept the Optiq away from prying eyes. In November 2023, the brand revealed only two official photos showcasing the front, side, and rear design, confirming its resemblance to the Lyriq.

However, the interior remained a mystery until now. Homologated for the Chinese market, photos of the model surfaced on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) website, revealing the dashboard for the first time, as spotted by Autoblog.

As anticipated, the interior shares similarities with the Lyriq, featuring a curved display integrating the digital instrument cluster and touchscreen controls for various functions. Physical buttons remain for climate control, accompanied by enclosed storage space and USB-C ports. A floating rotary dial enhances the layout, though the reduced space results in a slightly more crowded arrangement.

Expected to offer a similar experience to the Lyriq but in a more compact and affordable package, the Optiq aims to attract buyers with lower pricing. The entry-level Lyriq Tech starts at $58,590, while the Sport variant begins at $63,190.

It’s likely to offer both single-motor and dual-motor configurations, providing front-wheel drive with 200 or 240 horsepower and all-wheel drive with 283 horsepower, as confirmed by documents filed for homologation by Cadillac with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
