California’s Rezvani has introduced its latest creation, the RR1 sports car, marking the debut of its new Rezvani Retro division. Inspired by the bold designs of 1970s Kremer Racing vehicles, particularly the iconic Porsche 935 K series, the RR1 is built on the foundation of the current-generation 992 Porsche 911.

Despite Rezvani’s reputation for producing robust SUVs and aerodynamically inspired sports cars, the Retro division aims to cater to enthusiasts longing for a touch of vintage flair in their modern rides. The RR1 showcases a bespoke carbon-fiber body, offering a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic 935 design.

Notable deviations from the donor 911 include the adoption of square-shaped lights from the Taycan and the inclusion of a prominent rear wing. Available in three versions based on the Carrera S, GT3/GT3 RS, and Turbo S variants of the 911, each RR1 variant offers distinct performance enhancements.

The entry-level Carrera S-based RR1 550 boasts an output of 550 hp, while the RR1 565, derived from the naturally aspirated GT3 and GT3 RS models, delivers a power bump to 565 hp. Sitting atop the lineup is the RR1 750, built upon the Turbo S platform and offering a staggering 750 hp in track-focused guise.

Additionally, Rezvani offers a milder street version with 715 hp and a more comfort-oriented suspension setup. Limited to just 50 units worldwide, production of the RR1 will be exclusive. While standard pricing remains undisclosed, the initial five examples will be available at a reduced rate of $149,000, excluding the cost of the base 911.

The reveal of the RR1 follows closely on the heels of Rezvani’s introduction of the second generation of its inaugural model, the Beast sports car. Based on the platform of the C8 Chevrolet Corvette, the latest Beast boasts an impressive peak output of 1,000 hp, further solidifying Rezvani’s reputation for pushing the boundaries of performance and design.
