Scott Fisher of C8 Corvette Owners (And Friends) recently encountered three camouflaged ZR1 prototypes, providing a look into Chevrolet’s future lineup. These prototypes feature a distinctive high idle after startup, hinting at the presence of a flat-plane crankshaft V8 engine paired with twin turbos.

While leaked information suggests the inclusion of Active Fuel Management in the LT7 engine, further details remain scarce. However, GM’s parts catalog leak confirms other key features, including double overhead camshafts, a 5.5-liter displacement, and an eight-speed dual-clutch transaxle.
