Fisker is talking with different companies about being bought, but nothing’s official yet and it still has problems. The company told Ocean owners that it won’t give them roadside assistance anymore.

“We have an important update regarding our Roadside Assistance services that we want to share with you. Despite our best efforts, we regret to announce that Fisker Roadside Assistance is no longer available,” the brand wrote in an email sent to its customers in May 2024.

Some owners posted a picture of the email on Reddit, and a Fisker spokesperson confirmed that roadside assistance is also not available in our market anymore. It’s already stopped in Europe too.

Information about the service is still on Fisker’s website. Roadside help was available in every state, all day, every day, for six years or 60,000 miles after buying the car, whichever came first. It covered lots of problems like a car breakdown, losing power, getting a flat tire, and getting locked out. But Fisker said it could change or stop the service without warning or giving money back to owners.

Fisker’s been having money problems, but it’s hopeful. It opened three new stores in the U.S. in May 2024: Newport Fisker in Orange County, Fisker of San Jose, and Belford Fisker in New Jersey. These stores will help sell off 2023 cars that got cheaper in 2024.

However, Fisker told its workers in an email that there might be layoffs starting on June 28, 2024.
