During the 1990s, pickup trucks weren’t just known for their brawn, and customization became a major trend. One particularly head-turning example is the Shadi 2000 Chevrolet Pickup.

This unique truck fused the sleek lines of a sports car with the practicality of a pickup bed. Unlike most customizations that focus on smaller changes, the Shadi 2000 went all-in with a complete fiberglass body kit.

This wasn’t your average add-on spoiler; the Shadi 2000 kit was a dramatic transformation for a Chevy pickup. With only seven ever made and just four remaining, these trucks are a rare sight. The origins of the Shadi 2000 kit remain a mystery, though it was produced in Texas and designed to fit specific Chevy models.

A rare Chevrolet pickup truck is about to hit the auction block, and it’s not your average workhorse. This custom creation, the Shadi 2000, throws out the conventional pickup design for a head-turning fusion of muscle car and utility vehicle.

The most striking feature is the Corvette-inspired front end, a dramatic departure from the usual boxy design. Widened fenders, vents, and recessed lights add to the aggressive look, while a prominent tailgate completes the unique package.

Unlike most conversions offered at the time, owners had to take a DIY approach, completing the installation and even the final paint job themselves. One such Shadi 2000, soon to be up for grabs, boasts a vibrant red exterior with eye-catching decals, tinted windows, and its own Shadi branding. An optional spoiler and an illuminated tailgate add extra flair, while the power comes from a tried-and-true Chevrolet small block V8 engine.

The interior isn’t all work and no play either, featuring plush red velour seats, a sporty steering wheel, and modern conveniences like electric windows and air conditioning. The Shadi 2000 may be a forgotten oddity, but it undoubtedly holds a place as one of the most unconventional pickup trucks ever to turn heads.
