The sticker shock for the S650-gen Ford Mustang might seem outrageous, but it pales in comparison to the price tag of its track-ready sibling, the Mustang GTD, in certain European countries.

According to the Ford Motor Company’s website, the GTD starts at a hefty 525,500 euros in Austria, translating to roughly 564,656 US dollars based on current exchange rates.

This astronomical price can likely be attributed, at least in part, to hefty taxes levied on such high-performance vehicles in Europe.

Focusing on lightweight materials, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS boasts a carbon fiber driveshaft, with the option to extend the composite treatment to the front and rear fascias for an additional cost.

This focus on weight reduction contributes to the car’s impressive track prowess, with its aerodynamic package theoretically enabling a sub-7-minute lap time on the Nurburgring.

This achievement puts the GT3 RS in the territory of the 992.1-generation variant, which conquered the full 20.8-kilometer lap in a staggering 6:49.328 seconds, or 6:44.848 seconds on the shorter version.
