General Motors is making a big push in the SUV market, revamping its offerings across all sizes.

Leading the charge are the refreshed 2025 Yukon and Yukon XL, large SUVs designed to compete directly with the recently updated 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban.

This update coincides with Cadillac’s introduction of a gasoline-powered 2025 Escalade alongside a fully electric Escalade IQ, both aiming to take on the formidable 2025 Ford Expedition. But GM’s strategy extends beyond full-size vehicles.

The automaker is also prepping the third generation of the 2025 Terrain, a compact crossover that will borrow design cues from the recently launched 2024 Acadia.

This flurry of activity follows the successful launch of the all-new 2023 Canyon pickup truck, and the upcoming GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition, which joins the electric vehicle party alongside the GMC Hummer EV.

According to rumors, GMC is revamping its SUV lineup, and the Terrain is next in line for a refresh.

Following the design direction set by the 2024 Acadia, the upcoming Terrain is expected to boast a similar front fascia while featuring a unique, albeit related, interior.

While official details remain under wraps, digital artists are taking a stab at what the new Terrain might look like.
