Marking a major shift for Bentley, the 2025 Continental GT Speed ditches the W12 engine that powered its predecessors in favor of a revolutionary new powertrain.

This is revealing, eagerly awaited by online car enthusiasts who have been buzzing with anticipation, is scheduled for tomorrow, June 25th, at 4:00 pm British Standard Time.

The new powertrain signifies a new era for Bentley, coming two decades after the Volkswagen Group acquired the brand and breathed new life into it.

A pivotal part of this strategy was the 2003 introduction of the Continental GT, a grand tourer that redefined the concept of luxury performance.

While the W12 engine had been a mainstay for Bentley for many years, its retirement earlier in 2024 signaled a turning point.

The fourth generation Continental GT takes center stage as the platform to introduce Bentley’s next-generation powerhouse: the Ultra Performance Hybrid, a plug-in hybrid twin-turbo V8.

Eager for a look at the upcoming Bentley Continental GT, automotive enthusiast Dimas Ramadhan couldn’t resist creating his own CGI version.

Debuting on his YouTube channel Digimods DESIGN, Ramadhan’s design, sporting a classic British Racing Green paint job, aligns closely with teasers and leaked photos.

While the exterior retains the Continental GT’s iconic look, the significant changes lie beneath the hood. Bentley is ditching the W12 engine in favor of a powerful plug-in hybrid V8.

This innovative powertrain outmuscles even the mighty Mulliner Batur, Bentley’s most potent W12 model.

The Batur peaked at 740 horsepower, but the new V8 generates a staggering 771 horsepower and boasts an electric driving range of 50 miles.

Although falling short of the Lamborghini Urus SE’s 789 horsepower, the Continental GT remains a force to be reckoned with.
