Eberhart’s background includes leadership positions at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Speedway Motorsports, where she oversaw daily operations and handled legal matters for over 12 years. She brings expertise in negotiating high-value sports corporate transactions and advising on significant motorsports events.
Ross Merrill, president of FLS, praised Eberhart’s qualifications, stating that her skillset aligns well with the organization’s goals as they take over the concession at Laguna Seca Recreation Area. Bruce Canepa, FLS vice president, also expressed enthusiasm about Eberhart’s appointment, emphasizing her wealth of motorsports experience and shared vision for the future of Laguna Seca.
Eberhart joins FLS at a critical time as the organization begins assessing Laguna Seca’s facility, aiming to restore its status as “America’s premier road course.” Key priorities include upgrading fan amenities and addressing structural and functional deficiencies resulting from years of neglect and deferred maintenance. Despite these challenges, all raceway events will proceed as scheduled.
