2024 Hyundai Elantra Engine
Elantra has a wide variety of trims to choose from, and there are different engines for almost all of them. The primary nonhybrid contains a 2.0-liter four-cylinder machine that can produce 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. This is present in the SE and SEL models.
Conversely, the N Line model will have a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine that can produce 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet1.6-liter. In the N line, this engine is also present in the hybrid models, but the difference is that the hybrid model has an electric motor that can produce a total of 139 but more torque at 195 pound-feet.
The SE and the SEL model also has the CVT. While on the other hand, the N-line Hybrid and Limited Hybrid models get the dual-clutch transmission. Lastly, the N Line gets a seven-speed DCT compared to the hybrids’ six-speed DCT.
As for the mileage, EPA estimates that it will be able to give 33 mpg in the city and 42 mpg on the highway. The turbocharged models will provide a mileage of 28 mpg in the city and 36 on the road. Lastly, the hybrid Elantra is given 53 mpg city and 56 highway.
