Jaguar, the iconic British automaker, is undergoing a significant transformation as it gears up for an all-electric future in 2025. While there have been rumors about Jaguar discontinuing certain models, the company is indeed streamlining its lineup, making way for a new era of electric vehicles.
One casualty of this transition is the beloved F-Type, Jaguar’s solitary sports car. However, before bidding farewell, Jaguar is giving the F-Type a grand send-off with the introduction of a final special edition model.
Named the ZP edition F-Type, Jaguar plans to produce only 150 units of this exclusive model before retiring it after 2024. Both coupes and convertibles will be part of this limited production run.
Jaguar enthusiasts can choose from distinctive blue and grey paint options, paying homage to the E-Type Project ZP Collection, a testament to Jaguar’s rich heritage.
The interior of the ZP edition F-Type receives luxurious upgrades courtesy of Jaguar-Land Rover’s SV Bespoke unit. The cabin boasts premium red and black leather or blue and black leather upholstery, enhanced by horizontal seat stitching. Each car will also feature a unique number plate, denoting its place within the limited 150-unit production series.
Despite the plethora of exclusive enhancements, the ZP edition F-Type retains the exhilarating performance that makes the standard F-Type so captivating. Under the hood, it houses the same 575-horsepower supercharged V8 engine, ensuring an adrenaline-pumping driving experience.
With a lightning-fast 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds, a top speed of 186 mph, and a robust 516 pounds of torque, the F-Type maintains its reputation as a spirited, if slightly raw, driving machine.
As of now, Jaguar has not disclosed the pricing or release date for the special edition ZP F-Type. For reference, the standard 2024 F-Type is available on the Jaguar website with a starting price of $114,275, which includes the $1,275 destination charge.
Car enthusiasts and collectors alike eagerly await further details about this final tribute to Jaguar’s sports car legacy.
