Pricing for the 2024 Genesis G70 is expected to rise in comparison to the previous year. Genesis changed the engine in the base model and made a number of interior improvements to the sports sedan. These modifications bring the base price of the 2024 G70 up to $42,695, coupled with the addition of standard Brembo brakes.
A prominent modification involves the replacement of the old 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a standard 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with 300 horsepower instead of 252. The twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 engine choice, however, is still available as an alternative.
The basic price of the G70s with the V-6 and corresponding eight-speed automatic transmission—which comes in the rear- and all-wheel drive configurations—has increased significantly even if the specifications remain the same.
For example, the base price of the 2024 G70 3.3T is now $51,145, which represents a significant increase of $5120 over the previous model year, regardless of whether buyers choose to pay an extra $2100 for all-wheel drive or stick with the conventional rear-wheel drive.
The main reason for this significant price change is that all models now come standard with the Sport Advanced package, which was formerly an optional $4,300 item. In addition, the new 2.5T and 3.3T models’ Sport Prestige packages cost $4200 and $4400, respectively.
A frameless rearview mirror and redesigned climate controls with touch-sensitive capabilities are two of the new features coming to the 2024 G70. The EPA reports that although the new G70 2.5T’s fuel economy estimations are mostly unchanged from those of its predecessor, the RWD version’s highway estimate drops from 31 to 29 mpg, and its combined rating drops from 25 to 24 mpg. In the upcoming weeks, U.S. dealerships should receive the 2024 G70 lineup.
