Hanson completed a lap of the 3.56-mile road course in 1m35.216s in his GTP class JDC-Miller MotorSports Porsche 963 during the one-hour session, taking advantage of perfect track conditions.

Brendon Hartley initially set the pace, recording a time of 1m36.197s in the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Acura ARX-06 early in the session. However, he was later surpassed by Connor De Phillippi in the #25 RLL-run BMW M Hybrid V8, who posted a lap of 1m35.468s, edging out Tom Blomqvist in Action Express Racing’s Cadillac V-Series.R.

Neel Jani then claimed the top spot with a time of 1m35.329s in Proton Competition’s Porsche 963, likely during a qualifying simulation. De Phillippi continued to improve, matching Jani’s time at 1m35.329s, and later improving to 1m35.399s.

In the final 20 minutes, Hanson set the fastest time of the Roar at 1m35.216s in JDC-Miller’s 963, narrowly beating Pipo Derani’s Friday time in the AXR Caddy by 0.001s. Sebastien Bourdais, in Chip Ganassi Racing’s Cadillac V-Series.R, secured the fourth spot, followed by Blomqvist.

The LMP2 class saw United Autosports securing a 1-2, with Ben Keating topping the category with a time of 1m39.047s, edging out Paul di Resta in United’s #22 entry by 0.047s.

Porsche dominated the GTD class with Klaus Bachler in the #86 MDK Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R leading the way with a time of 1m46.229s. Trent Hindman (Kellymoss with Riley) secured second place, making it a Porsche 1-2-3, a significant improvement from the previous year’s performance. Aston Martin’s Mario Farnbacher was the best-placed GTD Pro entry, with Dennis Olsen leading the US muscle cars in his Proton-run Ford Mustang GT3.

Former IndyCar star James Hinchcliffe encountered an issue on his first flying lap with his Pfaff Motorsports McLaren 720S but rejoined the session later to finish 42nd overall after completing eight laps.
