2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class: Sleek new sedan’s pricing revealed

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled pricing details for the highly anticipated 2024 E-Class, belonging to the W214 generation, which made its debut in 2023.

This latest iteration of the E-Class boasts a more streamlined exterior design, an extensive array of technological enhancements within the cabin, and, notably, a higher starting price compared to its predecessor.

For its initial release, buyers will be presented with two enticing models: the E350 4Matic and E450 4Matic, both equipped with all-wheel drive.

Mercedes-Benz has not disclosed any plans to introduce a rear-wheel-drive version for the market. The pricing breakdown for the entire lineup is as follows:

  • E350 4Matic Premium: $63,450
  • E450 4Matic Premium: $69,250
  • E350 4Matic Pinnacle: $66,000
  • E450 4Matic Pinnacle: $71,800

It’s worth noting that these figures encompass a mandatory and surprisingly reasonable $1,150 destination charge, akin to shipping and handling for automobiles.

To provide context, the 2023 E350 starts at $57,900, including destination, with rear-wheel drive and $60,400 with 4Matic all-wheel drive.

In comparison, rival BMW charges $58,895 for the base, rear-wheel-drive G60-generation 530i, also introduced in 2024, with an additional $2,300 for all-wheel drive.

The base E-Class model comes generously equipped with an AMG body kit, LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, a 14.4-inch touchscreen showcasing the new third-generation MBUX infotainment system, and a surround-view camera, among other features.

Opting for the Pinnacle trim introduces additional luxuries like an illuminated grille, a head-up display, and active ambient lighting with sound visualization.

Optional upgrades include a 17-speaker Burmester 4D surround-sound system featuring Dolby Atmos (recipient of Autoblog’s Tech of the Year award) and the MBUX Superscreen Package, incorporating a 12.3-inch display for the front passenger and a selfie camera, among other enhancements.

Mercedes-Benz also offers a package bundling a rear-wheel steering system and an air suspension system.

Under the hood, the E350 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine generating 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.

Meanwhile, the E450 is equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six, producing 375 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.

Both engines feature a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and are paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The anticipation for AMG-branded models is reasonable.

Dealerships nationwide are set to receive the 2024 E-Class in the upcoming weeks, and in exciting news, the E-Class wagon (internally referred to as S214) is making a return, including the rugged All-Terrain version, although specific details have yet to be revealed by the brand.
