Ducati has officially unveiled the Desmo450 MX bike, featuring a robust 450cc engine, an aluminum frame, and a new design. As part of its competitive endeavors, Ducati will be participating in the Italian Pro Motocross Championship through its Factory MX Team, which is managed by Corrado and Marco Maddii.
The renowned motorcycle manufacturer has outlined its primary goal for the inaugural racing season: the acquisition of valuable data and insights during races to contribute to the ongoing development of the Desmo450 MX. The motorcycle is slated for production in the latter half of 2025.
Alessandro Lupino, a prominent figure in the racing world, is set to participate in all tests of the Italian Championship. Additionally, he will be engaged in an extensive test program, receiving support from Antonio Cairoli.
The first on-track event for the Desmo450 MX is scheduled for March 16 and 17 in Mantua, marking the commencement of the Italian Motocross Pro, Prestige MX1 Championship.
The testing phase and race participation reflect Ducati’s commitment to refining and enhancing the performance of the Desmo450 MX for its eventual release to the public.
