The era of V-8-powered Dodge Chargers has come to an end, but fear not, as the muscle car spirit is very much alive. Set to make its triumphant return later this year, and the 2025 Dodge Charger has made an unexpected debut on social media, offering enthusiasts a glimpse of what’s to come in the near future.

Dodge caught everyone by surprise today by unveiling several photos of the upcoming Charger on its social media platforms. The accompanying captions emphasized the exclusivity of the reveal, stating, “No cameras or recording devices permitted. The pre-production model is shown. Available late 2024.”

The images showcase a gray iteration (or possibly multiple versions) of the car, seemingly situated in a parking lot. A closer look suggests that the production model will inherit styling cues from the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept, which initially graced the stage in 2022.

Among the notable features is the illuminated Fratzog logo positioned between the headlights, flanking the distinctive “R-Wing.” This design element pays homage to the original 1969 Charger Daytona’s iconic tall wing.

The photos also provide a glimpse of the new Charger’s body sides and its staggered-width tires. Additionally, an intriguing detail on the driver’s side rear fender catches the eye—either a charge port or a potential door for the gas tank filler neck.

Dodge has confirmed that the upcoming Charger will boast an electric powertrain, following the lead of the Daytona SRT concept, which showcased an all-wheel-drive system and an 800-volt architecture.

However, reports circulating online suggest that the muscle car might also be available with a gas engine option, specifically the Hurricane twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six.

The Drive was the first to report this, citing a source connected to a supplier who shared various details about the production Charger last year. As anticipation builds, enthusiasts will have to patiently await further revelations from Dodge in the coming months.
