For enthusiasts yearning to transform their Nissan Frontier into a desert-racing powerhouse, an exciting dealer-installed package is on the horizon, poised to fulfill their dreams.
Dubbed the Forsberg Edition, this offering draws inspiration from the victorious team at the recent NORRA 500 race held in Mexico. Nissan is set to unveil the Frontier adorned with the Forsberg enhancements at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show.
Chris Forsberg and his racing crew embarked on a journey with a factory Frontier, enhancing it with rugged tires and NISMO components to withstand the grueling 500-mile trek across the Baja desert.
This modified truck made waves at last year’s SEMA show, showcasing a range of upgrades that set it apart. While the Forsberg package lacks the elaborate decals seen on the race vehicle, it mirrors many of the same enhancements.
The dealer-installed package boasts beadlock-capable Axis wheels paired with Yokohama Geolander mud-terrain tires (265/70R-17), along with an off-road suspension system featuring lifted stature, upgraded shocks, and forged upper control arms.
The Forsberg Frontier also sports rock sliders and a sleek low-profile roof rack equipped with integrated LED lights. Additionally, exclusive visual cues such as exterior graphics and a badge on the gear shifter base add to its allure.
Nissan confirms that the Forsberg Edition will hit the market in the fall, retailing for $9999. This package can be installed by dealerships on 2022 or newer Frontier models with a crew cab configuration.
The most affordable 2024 Nissan Frontier crew cab, starting at $32,840 in the S trim, can be augmented with four-wheel drive for an additional $3000.
