The transition to the Next Gen car further exacerbated their struggles, culminating in a winless season in the previous year – a first for the team. Only Kevin Harvick managed to secure a playoff spot, albeit being eliminated in the opening round. The remaining three drivers finished outside the top-20 in points.
The departure of seasoned drivers Kevin Harvick and Aric Almirola has left the team with a lineup of four young drivers, collectively possessing only one career win, courtesy of Chase Briscoe.
The arrivals of Josh Berry and Noah Gragson in 2024 marked a fresh chapter for the organization. However, the loss of key sponsors, including Anheuser-Busch and Smithfield, has compounded their challenges.
Addressing the performance issues, team owner Tony Stewart emphasized the need for a strategic evaluation and adjustment process.

Despite RFK Racing’s success with Ford and Team Penske securing consecutive Cup Series titles, Stewart-Haas Racing faced setbacks, including significant penalties in recent years. Stewart emphasized that sustained underperformance would prompt decisive actions within the organization.
