Bentley has introduced a series of five bespoke Mulliner Edition vehicles paying homage to the colors of the Indian flag. Dubbed The Opulence Edition for India, this exclusive lineup comprises a Continental GT Speed, a Flying Spur Speed, and a trio of Bentayga EWB Azure SUVs.
The vehicles feature Scarab Green exterior paint, drawing inspiration from the lustrous exoskeleton of the Scarab beetle, a unique choice not previously utilized in Mulliner projects. Complementing the distinctive hue are interiors adorned with Mandarin for the primary hide and Cumbrian Green for the secondary hide.
Distinctive Touches Elevate Opulence Edition Lineup
Accentuating the opulent theme, the vehicles boast a refined Piano veneer trim embellished with a sophisticated chrome motif depicting mountains and horses—a bespoke detail achieved through meticulous collaboration between Bentley Mumbai and Mulliner.
The Continental GT Speed Opulence Edition showcases 22-inch Speed wheels finished with a dark tint and self-leveling center badges, ensuring a perpetually balanced display of Bentley insignia.
Inside, the grand tourer boasts knurled switchgear and instrument bezels, exuding an air of timeless elegance. Limited to a single unit, this two-door coupe has already found its fortunate owner.
Under the hood, the Continental GT Speed houses a formidable twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W12 engine, generating 650 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque.
Exclusive Offering with Limited Production
Differentiating itself subtly, the Flying Spur Speed incorporates features such as the Naim for Bentley audio system and the innovative rotating display.
Quilted leather upholstery with Mandarin contrast stitching, along with Speed embroidery on the headrests, contributes to its distinctive allure. Like its counterpart, it rides on 22-inch wheels adorned with an illuminated ‘Flying B’ logo in stainless steel.
Only one exemplar of the Flying Spur Speed has been crafted, powered by the same W12 engine albeit slightly detuned to produce 626 horsepower.
Completing the Opulence Edition lineup are three Bentayga EWB Azure models embodying the epitome of luxury with their elongated wheelbase configuration. These models feature a sumptuous four-seater layout, enhanced by a central fridge compartment between the rear seats.
Mulliner Continues its Streak of Success
The bespoke Mandarin and Cumbrian Green leather upholstery showcases meticulous attention to detail, including Mandarin accents along the fascia and green seat bolsters. Contrasting Cumbrian Green stitching accentuates the quilted diamond patterns on the seats and the embroidered “Azure” headrests.
The Opulence Edition Bentleys epitomize Mulliner’s commitment to luxury craftsmanship, surpassing previous offerings such as the two-tone Bentayga EWB. With 75% of all Bentleys in 2023 featuring Mulliner bespoke content, the enduring appeal of ultra-luxury customization is evident, marking a significant increase from 43% in 2022.
Mulliner’s recent endeavors, including tributes to war heroes and collaborations with prestigious establishments like the Peninsula Hotel in London, continue to elevate Bentley’s bespoke offerings to new heights of refinement and exclusivity.
