Billy Bolt recently underwent surgery to address a knee injury sustained during round three of the 2024 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship.
Despite the setback, Bolt, a star rider for Husqvarna Factory Racing, is expected to recover fully in the coming months, with hopes of returning to compete in the latter part of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship.
Bolt’s injury occurred during a practice session at the SuperEnduro series, where he landed awkwardly after a jump. Remarkably, Bolt not only persevered through the injury to win the round but went on to dominate the entire championship, securing seven wins from seven starts.
Following his SuperEnduro victory on March 2, Bolt underwent surgery on March 5 to reconstruct his ACL, repair his meniscus and post-lateral corner, and address fractures in his tibia. The procedure was successful, and Bolt has already begun his recovery journey.
Although he faces several months of rehabilitation, Bolt remains optimistic about his return to competition for the latter part of the Hard Enduro season. Husqvarna Motorcycles and Bolt’s fans are rooting for his speedy recovery.
In other racing news, Dean Wilson suffered a shoulder injury during the final lap at Daytona SX. Despite a solid performance throughout the race, Wilson’s accident resulted in a broken scapula in three spots.
