Liqui Moly Beta Racing’s esteemed rider, Colt Nichols, is poised to mark his debut in the 2024 AMA Supercross at Round Nine in Alabama this upcoming weekend.
Following a setback due to a rotator cuff injury prior to the commencement of the season, Nichols has dedicated the initial eight weeks to the rigorous process of shoulder rehabilitation. Now, with notable progress in his recovery, he is primed to make his return to the track.
The anticipation is high as Colt Nichols reunites with his teammate Benny Bloss, who recently clinched a remarkable top-ten finish in Daytona, a significant milestone for Beta Motorcycles in its debut season in the Supercross circuit.
Colt Nichols, hailing from Muskogee, OK, ventured into professional racing in 2015. His illustrious career includes a third-place finish in the 250SX West in 2019 and a notable victory in the 250SX East Championship in 2021. W
ith four triumphs under his belt in Supercross, Nichols also earned recognition as the 450SX Rookie of the Year in the 2023 season.
Expressing his anticipation for the forthcoming event, Nichols stated, “I’ll see you guys at Alabama. I’m very excited to finally be racing; my shoulder took much longer to heal than I anticipated, but feeling good and ready to get on the gate and back racing.”
