The highly anticipated 2024 Nissan Z Nismo has started making its way to Australian customers, with the initial batch of 100 units quickly sold out. However, there’s good news for enthusiasts as Nissan hints at the possibility of additional units becoming available soon.

Adam Paterson, Managing Director for Nissan Australia and Oceania, revealed during the launch event of the new Qashqai e-Power hybrid that the first shipments have recently arrived in Australia. “They were on the water last week, and I think they’ve landed and started to hit dealerships pretty much as we speak,” said Mr. Paterson.

He further added, “Those are in the process of starting to be delivered right now, and there will be a further allocation, second batch, or more production – however you want to term it – and we’re still determining how we distribute those.”

Priced at $94,000 before on-road costs, the Z Nismo commands a premium of nearly $20,000 over the standard Z model. It boasts a potent 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, delivering impressive outputs of 313kW of power and 520Nm of torque an increase of 15kW and 45Nm compared to the regular Z variant.

Nissan achieved these enhancements through various performance-focused upgrades, including improved cooling, revised electronic wastegate control for increased turbocharged boost, and GT-R Nismo-inspired ignition spark timing.

The Z Nismo is solely equipped with a nine-speed automatic transmission., specially “enhanced” for faster and more dynamic shifting performance. Notable features include an enhanced oil cooler for extended track performance, launch control, and a new Sport+ drive mode.

Moreover, the suspension setup has been revised with unique anti-roll bars, stiffer spring rates, and larger retuned dampers.

The chassis has also been reinforced with additional bracing at the front and rear, along with stiffer suspension bushings and steering rack mounting bushings, resulting in a 2.5% increase in torsional rigidity compared to the standard model.

With its high-performance capabilities and exclusive features, the Nissan Z Nismo promises an exhilarating driving experience for enthusiasts lucky enough to secure one of the limited units available in Australia.
