Boasting an impressive surge in power, the dual motors propel this model from 777 to 1019 horsepower, with a peak of 1,092 horsepower for two fleeting seconds, accompanied by a substantial 988 lb-ft of torque when launch control is activated.
This formidable powertrain catapults the Taycan Turbo GT to 60 mph in a mere 2.2 seconds or a blistering 2.1 seconds with the optional Weissach Package.
While some may note that rivals like the Tesla Model S Plaid and Lucid Air Sapphire achieve this feat in under two seconds, it’s essential to recognize that these manufacturers include a rollout, unlike Porsche.
However, the primary objective of the Taycan Turbo GT transcends straight-line acceleration; it’s engineered to excel on the racetrack. Indeed, a pre-production model shattered the Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record for electric sedans with a time of 7:07.55 and claimed the title of the fastest series production car around Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca, clocking in at 1:27.87.
Vice President of the Model Line, Kevin Giek, highlighted the comprehensive approach to track performance, stating, “To prove your mettle on the track, it’s not enough to simply have as much power as possible. The overall package of accelerating, braking, cornering grip, aerodynamics, stability, and fine-tuning must be right.”
Giek emphasized the exceptional achievement of the Taycan Turbo GT and Turbo GT with Weissach Package, which elevate driving dynamics and enjoyment to unprecedented levels.
Distinguishing itself from its predecessors, the Turbo GT incorporates several significant upgrades, including a more potent silicone carbide pulse inverter on the rear axle and an adjusted ratio on the two-speed transmission, resulting in a top speed increase to 180 mph (190 mph with the Weissach Package). Porsche Active Ride suspension with GT-specific tuning ensures optimal performance and stability on the track.
Externally, the Turbo GT boasts a striking aesthetic with 21-inch lightweight forged wheels as standard, complemented by Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes featuring 10-piston front calipers painted in Victory Gold.
Noteworthy visual enhancements include carbon fiber SportDesign side skirts, mirror caps, B-pillars, an adaptive spoiler with a carbon fiber Gurney flap, or a fixed wing with the Weissach Package.
Regarding customization, the Turbo GT offers six standard colors, including two exclusive hues for the 2025 model year: Pale Blue Metallic and Purple Sky Metallic. Furthermore, customers can opt for Paint to Sample options to tailor their Taycan to their preferences.

Pricing for both the 2025 Taycan Turbo GT and Turbo GT with Weissach Package starts at $230,000, excluding a $1,995 delivery, processing, and handling fee.
