The E-Drive Sweden YouTube channel orchestrated an impromptu drag race featuring the newly launched Volvo EX30 crossover and the established Porsche Taycan EV sedan.
In a recent upload, E-Drive Sweden arranged an exhilarating drag race session, pitting the fresh Volvo EX30 against the seasoned Porsche Taycan EV sedan. Amidst fading daylight, the unprepared airfield served as an ideal backdrop for this electrifying showdown.
The protagonists, a black Porsche Taycan 4S and the debutant Volvo EX30 stood poised at the starting line. Equipped with Performance Battery Plus, the Porsche unleashed its 571 ps (563 hp) prowess, while the Volvo, propelled by its Twin Motor Performance system generating 434 ps (428 hp), eagerly accepted the challenge.
Despite the Volvo’s commendable performance off the line, its lighter frame couldn’t sustain the Porsche’s relentless acceleration. As the dust settled, the Porsche clinched victory in both races, clocking an impressive quarter-mile time of 11.85 seconds compared to the Volvo’s 12.85 seconds, reaffirming its dominance on the dragstrip.
