Renowned F1 Champion Jody Scheckter, known for his victory in the 1979 season with Ferrari, is offering twelve prized vehicles from his private collection at RM Sotheby’s Monaco auction in May.
The highlight of the collection is the historic Ferrari 312 T4, which secured victory in the Belgian, Monaco, and Italian Grand Prix during the 1979 season. This flat-12 engine-powered car marks Enzo Ferrari’s final Formula 1 driver’s world championship-winning vehicle.
Acquired by Scheckter in November 1982, the Ferrari has an estimated auction value of $5,500,000 to $7,000,000.
Additionally, enthusiasts can bid for the unique Tyrrell P34 six-wheeler, built in the 2000s on a period-correct unused chassis, with an estimated value of $490,000 to $700,000.
The impressive lineup includes McLaren race cars such as the iconic 1973 McLaren M23 F1 car, renowned for its design excellence, and the 1971 McLaren M19A, which marked Scheckter’s F1 debut.
