Peugeot has electrified its seven-seat family SUV, the 5008, for the 2024 model year, following in the footsteps of the E-3008. This new E-5008 variant stands as the larger sibling to the E-3008, boasting a more practical roofline and an added third row of seating for enhanced versatility. Built upon the STLA Medium platform, shared with the E-3008, the 5008 features two battery options.

The base model sports a 73kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of 500km in front-wheel-drive configuration on the WLTP test cycle. Meanwhile, the optional 98kWh long-range battery extends the range to a claimed 660km.

The power output varies across models, with the single-motor 73kWh variant generating 157kW, while the all-wheel-drive version packs 240kW. The 98kWh long-range battery variant is paired with a 170kW single electric motor.

All models support fast charging up to 160kW using a DC public station, with standard 11kW charging capability on an AC plug. An optional 22kW AC onboard charger is available. Peugeot plans to introduce mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid options following the electric launch variants.

The plug-in hybrid variant will offer 145kW of power and an 80km electric range. Inside, the E-5008 offers ample space for seven passengers, with configurable cargo space ranging from 259 liters with the third row in place to 1815 liters with both rear rows folded flat.

The interior features Peugeot’s signature 21-inch i-Cockpit setup, highlighted by a curved display ahead of the driver and customizable i-Toggles on the dashboard. While Peugeot has yet to confirm the E-5008’s availability in Australia, the E-3008 will arrive Down Under in the latter half of 2024.
