Introducing the highly-anticipated 2025 Nissan Kicks crossover SUV, boasting a larger exterior, enhanced interior spaciousness, and a robust engine complemented by a plethora of contemporary features.
Immediately noticeable is the absence of Nissan’s iconic V-Motion grille, a departure underscored by its absence from the Kicks’ press release. Yet, upon closer inspection, remnants of the brand’s design legacy are discernible.
The grille’s angled openings converge into a ridge atop the fascia, while narrow headlights taper downwards along their inner edges, contributing to a sleek, squared aesthetic that seamlessly transitions to a high, straight beltline.
The rear profile integrates uniquely shaped LED taillights harmoniously fused with black trim reminiscent of the Alfa Romeo Milano.
Available in S, SV, and SR trims, the SR variant, showcased here, boasts 19-inch wheels and distinctive accent lighting beneath the headlights, complemented by sport-inspired interior touches like red stitching and unique trim elements. Notably, the new Kicks features significantly increased ground clearance, now measuring 8.4 inches compared to its predecessor’s 7.0 inches.
The interior receives a dramatic overhaul centered around a dual-screen configuration for the driver-focused infotainment system.
Taking center stage is a substantial 12.3-inch display, complemented by a standard 7-inch screen, managing a suite of advanced features such as optional 360-degree surround-view cameras and an optional Bose 10-speaker sound system. Integrated seamlessly, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities enhance the driving experience to new heights.
Under the hood, the 2025 Nissan Kicks exclusively houses a new naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, delivering 139 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque. Paired with Nissan’s latest iteration of the Xtronic automatic gearbox (CVT), power distribution is optimized for both front-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations.
The optional Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system, available across the lineup, emerges as a pivotal feature of the new generation, augmented by the “Snow” driving mode and an impressive ground clearance of 8.4 inches, enhancing the crossover’s versatility for light off-road excursions.
