Customers who purchased a Chevrolet Blazer prior to March 7 may find themselves eligible for reimbursement from the automaker, matching the recent price reductions implemented by the brand.
In a surprising move aimed at avoiding any discontent among early adopters, Chevrolet is offering reimbursements equal to the price cuts applied to its Blazer models. The revelation stems from reports by Edmunds, detailing how they received correspondence from Chevrolet outlining a reimbursement of $5,620 for a previously purchased Blazer RS AWD, bought in the preceding year.
For instance, a Blazer RS AWD model acquired in 2023 for $60,215 now bears a price tag of $54,595. Similarly, the base model Blazer LT, previously priced at $56,715, has been marked down to $50,195. Consequently, individuals who purchased these models may be entitled to a reimbursement of up to $6,520.
According to Chevrolet’s communication, which was shared with customers, the reimbursement offer is triggered by the recent announcement of a new Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) reduction on 2024 Blazer EVs. The statement from Chevrolet reads:
“Chevrolet recently announced a new MSRP reduction on 2024 Blazer EVs. As a result of this announcement, we would like to offer reimbursement to customers who purchased a new 2024 Blazer EV before March 7, 2024.”
Despite the clarity of the message conveyed in the letter, Chevrolet representatives have remained silent on the issue, declining to respond to inquiries for further comment.
