Dubai Police implemented the “Ramadan Without Accidents” Initiative, distributing an average of 10,000 iftar meals daily and approximately 71,850 in the first week of Ramadan. Officers and volunteers stationed at busy intersections handed out meal boxes as traffic signals turned red, reaching thousands of individuals within a week.
The initiative targets the reduction of accidents caused by drivers rushing home before iftar, promoting safer driving behaviors. Additionally, resources include 34 marine security boats, 135 ambulances, 10 maritime rescue boats, 51 bicycle patrols, five responder vehicles, and two helicopters.
