Tesla is preparing to reveal the Model 3 Performance, signaling a new era of performance for the electric sedan with advanced technology enhancements. A recent homologation document from Europe reveals key specifications, shedding light on the highly anticipated variant’s capabilities.

Introduced in September 2023 in Asia and Europe and later in North America, the refreshed Model 3 series from Tesla generated significant anticipation. However, the most powerful variant, the Model 3 Performance (commonly referred to as Ludicrous), remained eagerly awaited, promising unparalleled performance in the Model 3 lineup.

Compared to the Long Range AWD variant, the Model 3 Performance offers a substantial performance leap, positioning it as a track-ready powerhouse. Despite speculation regarding its name, Tesla executives have confirmed it as the Model 3 Performance, although the possibility of more extreme variants under different names remains open.

Distinctive design elements distinguish the Model 3 Performance, including a new front aero bumper, rear diffuser, and a prominent rear carbon spoiler. However, the most significant enhancements lie beneath the surface, highlighted by a new electric motor boosting total power to approximately 620 horsepower.

Recent revelations from a European homologation document further detail the Model 3 Performance’s specifications, including a top speed of 261 kph (162 mph) and a WLTP range of 528 km (328 miles).

As anticipation mounts for the Model 3 Performance’s official debut, Tesla continues to push the boundaries of electric vehicle performance, setting new benchmarks in the automotive industry.
