Not long ago, some cars were really hard to find, and some car companies said they didn’t want to offer deals and discounts. But now, it looks like things are changing. If you check car lots and look at deals online, like on Cars Direct, you’ll see that Ford might be changing its mind about the Bronco Sport.
The Bronco Sport is a cool SUV, but it used to be quite expensive. Just a few months ago, we said it was pricey for its size. And for 2024, they got rid of the cheapest version, making it even more expensive.
But now, Ford has decided to lower the price of the Bronco Sport. According to a memo sent to dealers earlier this month, the prices of almost all Bronco Sport models have been reduced by a few thousand dollars. Here are the new prices for the 2025 Bronco Sport after adding the destination charge:
- Big Bend: $31,390 (was $1,435 more expensive)
- Heritage: $33,690 (was $1,335 more expensive)
- Free Wheeling: $33,990 (was $1,335 more expensive)
- Outer Banks: $35,530 (was $1,980 more expensive)
- Badlands: $39,985 (no change)
The cheapest Bronco Sport, the Big Bend, now costs only $300 more than the basic Escape Active. But as you move up to higher trims, the price difference gets bigger, up to about $2,000 more than the Escape.
The price for the Badlands trim hasn’t changed, but that’s okay. The gap between it and the trim below it, the Outer Banks, used to be $2,515, but now it’s $4,450. This might sound like a lot, but it’s fair, considering all the extra features you get with the Badlands.
Last year, the Bronco Sport sold well, with over 127,000 units sold in the U.S., which was a big increase from the year before. In December, Ford offered discounts of up to $4,500 for the 2023 Bronco Sport. And in the first quarter of this year, dealers sold over 31,000 units, which was 6% more than last year. We’ll have to wait and see if the price cuts will boost sales even more this quarter.
