Prophet Samuel Kakande, a Ugandan preacher, has requested each of his congregants to contribute $300 (equivalent to ₦345,000 in Naira) towards the purchase of his dream vehicle, a brand new 2024 Range Rover ultra-luxury SUV. In a video shared on the church’s YouTube channel on April 10th, Kakande set a deadline of April 14, 2024, for the members to fulfill their contributions.

In the viral video, Kakande expressed his desire to acquire the Range Rover and emphasized that it is a collective decision among the congregation. He stated that those who contribute towards the purchase of his dream vehicle will also receive blessings in the form of new vehicles in 2024.

The preacher urged each member to contribute $300, believing that God would perform miracles for them in return. Kakande encouraged those abroad to send their contributions and assured them of receiving a prayer card for the blessing of the vehicle.

While the exact number of members in Kakande’s church is undisclosed, it is estimated that he would require contributions from at least 866 individuals to afford the Range Rover SUV. The base price of a new Range Rover starts from $260,000 before local taxes and deliveries, amounting to approximately ₦350 million in Nigeria.

Kakande’s request has garnered attention and sparked discussions about the appropriateness of such appeals within religious communities. Some may view it as an act of faith and support for their leader, while others might question the transparency and motives behind the fundraising initiative.
