KTM has just introduced its 2025 Cross Country (XC) and XC-F range, featuring a remarkable increase in Race Ready models compared to previous lineups. Leveraging the renowned expertise of FMF KTM Factory Racing, celebrated for its supremacy in top-tier off-road racing, these latest models incorporate updates tailored to uphold KTM’s trail supremacy.
The development efforts have resulted in significant improvements to the chassis, with visible cutouts and varied tube-wall thicknesses around the headstock area, as well as enhancements to the engine mount and rear shock mount areas. These changes are engineered to enhance chassis flex characteristics, shed weight by approximately 300 grams, and maintain stability while improving cornering behavior.
Accompanying the chassis upgrades are refinements to the suspension system, including reworked settings for the WP XACT Closed Cartridge spring fork and XACT linkage shock to accommodate the increased flex and reduced weight. The WP XACT shock also benefits from updated linkage and seals, directly derived from the KTM Factory Racing Team’s setup, optimizing weight savings and stiffness parameters.
The aesthetic enhancements include new tank shrouds made of bi-composite plastics for improved cooling and a sleeker appearance. The updated fuel tank mount not only enhances frame protection but also improves tank fitment, ensuring durability and performance on the trail. Additionally, full-orange bodywork with red and black in-mold graphics gives the models a fresh and aggressive look.
One notable addition for the 2025 models is the introduction of the Connectivity Unit Offroad (CUO), available as KTM PowerParts for the XC-F lineup. The CUO offers a range of functionalities and adjustability options via the KTMconnect app, enhancing the riding experience. The CUO consists of two parts: the unit itself, mounted on the right upper fork, and the GPS sensor on the front fender, providing comprehensive data and connectivity features.
Anticipated to arrive in authorized KTM dealerships in June, the 2025 XC and XC-F range represents a significant step forward in off-road motorcycle technology and performance. With its race-proven enhancements and cutting-edge features, KTM continues to push the boundaries of off-road riding, aiming to maintain its position at the forefront of the industry.
