Leasing a Tesla Model 3 just got a little more affordable! Tesla slashed the monthly lease payment for their base Model 3 by $30. Now, you can lease one for $299 a month.

There is a down payment of $3,000 required to snag this deal. The lease lasts for 3 years (36 months) and you can’t drive more than 10,000 miles per year. Keep in mind that there are some additional costs to the monthly lease payment. You’ll need to pay a $695 acquisition fee, the first month’s payment upfront, and a $395 disposition fee when you return the car at the end of the lease.

When you add everything up, the effective monthly cost comes out to around $412.60. Over the 36-month lease term, that adds up to $14,854.

Tesla doesn’t allow you to purchase the car at the end of the lease. This is something to keep in mind if you’re thinking about leasing vs. buying a Tesla Model 3 (or any other car for that matter).
