When thinking of sporty premium subcompact cars, names like the BMW M2, Audi RS 3 Sedan, and Mercedes-AMG CLA often come to mind. However, the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing deserves attention.
Starting at $61,495 in the US, it’s $805 more affordable than the Audi RS 3 Sedan and significantly cheaper than the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S and BMW M2 Coupe. Despite its compact size, the CT4-V Blackwing boasts features inspired by its larger sibling, the CT5-V Blackwing.
Equipped with an electronic limited-slip differential, Brembo brake calipers, and an optional ten-speed automatic transmission, the CT4-V Blackwing offers impressive performance. Its V6 engine produces 472 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque, rivaling the entry-level BMW M3.
With a 0-60 mph time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 189 mph, the CT4-V Blackwing delivers exhilarating performance. While offered only as a sedan, enthusiasts have imagined a wagon variant, though Cadillac hasn’t confirmed such plans.
