Hennessey’s H1000 Caddy CT5-V Blackwing, as showcased in the embedded video below, earns the moniker “destroyer of tires” from its creators. While others may wreak havoc on wallets, family savings due to fuel consumption, or rivals from Ford, GM, and Mopar at the local dragstrip, this creation is dedicated to tire destruction.

Hennessey Performance Engineering enhances American vehicles across the automotive spectrum, from special editions of powerful pickup trucks like the Last Stand Mammoth 1000 Ram 1500 TRX to the swift and elegant H850 Cadillac Escalade full-size SUVs. Their repertoire also includes modifications to defunct models like the Exorcist Final Edition Chevy Camaro ZL1 and a range of Ford VelociRaptors.

Operating in a vast automotive world, Hennessey’s latest endeavor involves transforming the seemingly discreet Cadillac CT5 into the H1000. Starting with the potent 668-horsepower CT5-V Blackwing, powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8, Hennessey started on a mission to raise its performance to unparalleled heights.

The H1000 boasts an impressive output rivaling that of the Bugatti Veyron, with 1,000 horsepower and 966 pound-feet (1,310 Nm) of torque. To demonstrate the magnitude of their modifications, Hennessey compared the stock Blackwing’s performance to their H1000 version, showcasing significant enhancements: 841.66 horsepower and 765.18 pound-feet (1,037 Nm) of torque at the rear wheels, compared to the stock figures of 598.56 horsepower and 633.05 pound-feet (858 Nm) of torque.

The video aptly titled ‘Destroyer of Tires’ requires no further explanation. However, it’s worth noting that Cadillac is preparing to introduce the subtly updated 2025 CT5-V Series, including the Blackwing model. Prospective buyers are advised to act swiftly, as the availability of the thundering supercharged V8 is expected to be highly limited.
