Isuzu Ute Australia is actively considering expanding its accessory offerings to cater more comprehensively to the needs of Australian buyers. Ryosuke Takeishi, the director of service and after-sales at Isuzu Ute Australia, emphasized the importance of delving into potential partnerships for branded approved accessories, drawing parallels to Ford’s successful collaboration with ARB accessories.
Takeishi expressed the company’s stance, stating, “Yeah, that’s one of the areas we need to study. So far we don’t have a judgment yet, but yes that’s going to be one of the areas. It might be a great opportunity for us.” Mark Harman, the PR manager for Isuzu Ute Australia, underscored the existing partnerships with reputable brands like Rhino-Rack for roof racks and awnings, and Clearview for towing mirrors.
These partnerships empower Isuzu dealers to offer a range of accessories for installation on Isuzu’s popular D-Max and MU-X models. In addition to these collaborations, Isuzu already provides a selection of in-house accessories, including bull bars, side steps, snorkels, trays, and tonneau covers, among others, enhancing the utility and versatility of their vehicles.
Although Isuzu has yet to decide on a specific off-road accessory company to partner with, potential candidates could include industry leaders like ARB, TJM, or Ironman 4×4. Notably, Isuzu’s competitor, Ford, set out on a partnership with ARB in 2021, offering aftermarket accessories through its dealer network. These accessories, labeled as Ford Licensed Accessories, are backed by the full five-year Ford factory warranty, ensuring peace of mind for customers.
