Jordi Soldevila may not be a full-time custom builder, but his latest creation, the Madness 598 R cafe racer, showcases his exceptional talent and dedication to craftsmanship. Documenting his builds primarily on Instagram, Jordi’s latest masterpiece represents the pinnacle of his bike-modding endeavors.
Named the Madness 598 R, this striking cafe racer underwent a meticulous transformation spanning over two years. Beginning with a 1990 Kawasaki GPX600R, Jordi started on a journey to reimagine the bike’s identity, culminating in a breathtaking reinterpretation of classic design elements.
Every aspect of the bike received meticulous attention, starting with the engine. While the 592cc inline-four engine boasted adequate performance, Jordi’s rebuild enhanced its capabilities, complemented by custom intake and exhaust modifications for optimal performance.
Externally, the Madness 598 R exudes timeless elegance, featuring bespoke fiberglass bodywork meticulously crafted by Jordi himself. From the perfectly contoured fuel tank to the streamlined tail section, every detail reflects Jordi’s passion for perfection.
Functional enhancements, such as LED lighting and aftermarket suspension components from a Suzuki GSX-R750, raise the bike’s performance and aesthetics. The result is a harmonious blend of form and function, a testament to Jordi’s mastery of his craft.
Despite its custom nature, the Madness 598 R remains rooted in practicality, with a chassis derived from a Toyota Hilux pickup ensuring reliability and longevity. Finished in a striking livery of red, silver, and black, this cafe racer stands as a testament to Jordi’s ingenuity and creative vision.
