Originally established as a motorcycle rental service in Cape Town, South Africa, Wolf Moto (WM) has its roots in Durban, where it was founded in 2014 by Kyle Scott and Chris Clokie. Despite its humble beginnings, the company quickly gained recognition for its exceptional custom projects, exemplified by the stunning transformation of a Moto Guzzi Le Mans II in 1980.

Led by Kyle and Chris, the team at Wolf Moto started a comprehensive overhaul of the Moto Guzzi, breathing new life into the classic bike. Beginning with a meticulous teardown, they stripped the bike down to its frame and undertook a thorough cleaning and powder-coating process to rejuvenate its structure.

The heart of the project involved refurbishing the bike’s 844cc V-twin engine, equipping it with premium components like a Dynojet intake kit and a handmade stainless-steel exhaust system.

The bike’s suspension was upgraded with Yamaha XJR1300 forks and YSS shock absorbers, enhancing both its handling and ride quality. In addition to mechanical upgrades, the team at Wolf Moto focused on enhancing the bike’s aesthetics and ergonomics.

They crafted a custom black leather seat and modified the rear frame to accommodate it, giving the bike a sleek and cohesive look. Modern touches like LED lighting and a digital speedometer were also integrated into the design.

To complete the transformation, the Moto Guzzi was adorned with bespoke front and rear fenders, a swingarm-mounted license plate holder, and a stunning two-tone paint scheme. The result is a one-of-a-kind cafe racer named Imperatrix, a true testament to Wolf Moto’s passion for custom motorcycles and attention to detail.
