Norris has been winning a lot of awards for being on the podium in races but not actually winning a Grand Prix. But finally, in this race, he won! This win for McLaren is special because they haven’t won since the Italian Grand Prix in 2021, when Oscar Piastri won in the Qatar sprint race in 2023.

At the beginning of the race, Verstappen got off to a good start, but Leclerc didn’t do so well. He got pushed back, and Perez almost caused a big crash. This allowed Leclerc to move back up to second place.

Verstappen quickly got a lead, with Piastri following behind Leclerc. Leclerc struggled a bit with his tires, and Piastri managed to pass him. Piastri led for a while, with Verstappen still ahead.

Meanwhile, Perez was holding up Norris, who was trying to catch up to the leaders. Perez was the first to pit for new tires.

Then Leclerc pitted, and shortly after, Verstappen made a mistake on the track. He knocked over a bollard, which caused a safety car to come out. Verstappen pitted as well.

A few laps later, Piastri and Sainz also pitted. This allowed Norris to take the lead.

But then there was a collision between Magnussen and Sargeant, which caused a safety car again. Norris pitted during this time and managed to come out ahead of Verstappen.

When the race restarted, Norris had to defend his position from Verstappen. But Norris had fresher tires, which helped him keep his lead.

Norris continued to extend his lead over Verstappen, who was struggling with his tires. Norris won the race with a comfortable lead, with Leclerc finishing third.

Sainz had some battles with Piastri during the race, but ended up in fourth place. Piastri had some issues with his front wing after a collision with Sainz and ended up finishing 13th.

Other notable finishes include Tsunoda in seventh, Russell in eighth, and Alonso in ninth. Ocon managed to score Alpine’s first point of the season by finishing tenth.
