Sam had been fixated on owning a classic Dodge Charger, particularly a 1970 model. His desire led him on an extraordinary journey across the globe. Upon hearing about a vintage Charger nestled in a yard in the United Kingdom, he couldn’t resist the chance to make it his own. Despite knowing the car might come with its share of issues after sitting idle for as long as he’d been alive 36 years Sam was determined to see it in person.

The current custodian, Tim Cummings, had painstakingly pieced together the Charger from a collection of parts he received as a birthday gift. Over nearly four decades, Tim had treasured the Charger, though it had recently fallen into disuse. Now in his 50s, Tim sought a vehicle he could simply start and drive. Sam, drawn to the Charger’s storied past, eagerly took on the challenge of restoring it.

In preparation for transportation, Sam outfitted the Charger with wheels from a 2015 Dodge Charger Police Interceptor. Despite missing components and a non-functional engine, Sam remained resolute in his determination to revive the Charger. His journey to acquire the car mirrored his previous adventures, including a memorable road trip across America in a NASCAR-powered Dodge Charger.

Guiding the Charger onto a trailer proved more challenging than anticipated, given the car’s prolonged storage and changes to the surrounding world. Nonetheless, Sam persisted, fueled by his passion for the Charger and its potential restoration. As he started on this new endeavor with the vintage Dodge, Sam envisioned the joy of one day sharing a ride with Tim, honoring the car’s legacy and bringing smiles to both their faces.
