KTM’s rich racing heritage, spanning numerous FIM World Championships since the 1970s, underscores its unparalleled experience. The upcoming 990 RC R marks KTM’s return to offering road-oriented sport bikes, following the success of its predecessors like the 1190 RC 8.
Scheduled for release in early 2025, the 990 RC R promises exceptional performance, powered by the LC8c parallel-twin engine delivering 126 horsepower and 103 Nm of torque. With a focus on dynamic performance, the steel frame and aluminum subframe ensure agility and stability.
Visually, the bike’s aerodynamic design hints at its performance capabilities, featuring aero wings for stability during high-speed maneuvers. KTM plans to introduce a track version shortly after, underscoring its commitment to dominating the sportbike segment.
