In the recent IndyCar race, Palou, a Spanish driver, faced a tough start after losing his lead position. But he managed to regain the lead during the second series of pit stops.

However, during a restart on lap 68, Palou had to defend his lead against Will Power from Team Penske. Palou explained that Power had a better start due to a shorter gear and also benefited from his draft. Despite the challenge, Palou defended his position to maintain the lead.

Palou also mentioned that the racing line into the corner was slippery, similar to the conditions at the start of the race. He struggled with debris on his tires, which affected his braking.

With this win, Palou became the new points leader in the championship, surpassing Power by 12 points. When asked about his performance and the team’s progress, Palou expressed optimism. He acknowledged the team’s hard work and improvements in the car’s performance. Palou believes that they have made significant progress, but he also expects other teams to catch up in terms of speed and performance.
