Automobili Pininfarina has recently introduced the Battista Cinquantacinque, a homage to the iconic 1955 Lancia Florida show car, with “Cinquantacinque” translating to “Fifty-five” in Italian. This model pays tribute to automotive history while integrating today’s technology.
Originally based on the Lancia Aurelia, the Lancia Florida was a beloved creation of its designer, Battista “Pinin” Farina, in the early 1950s. Farina cherished the Florida II, which he drove until his passing in April 1966.
Today, the Florida II resides in the Pininfarina SpA Collection in Cambiano, Torino, Italy, making it one of only three sedans ever produced. The Cinquantacinque serves as a tribute to this legendary model. Adorned in Blu Savoia Gloss with a contrasting Bianco Sestriere Gloss roof, the model features the Brushed Anodized jewelry pack for added distinction.
To reaffirm its heritage, the Cinquantacinque boasts unique inscriptions, including the “Cinquantacinque 55” signature on the passenger door plate and beneath the active rear wing.
Inside, the cabin exudes Italian luxury with Poltrana Frau Heritage leather upholstery covering the seats, dashboard, and door cards.
Under the hood, the Cinquantacinque is powered by four electric motors, delivering a total of 1,874 horsepower and 1,726 pound-feet of torque. With a lithium-ion battery pack of 120 kWh, the car can travel up to 296 miles before requiring a recharge.
Each Battista Cinquantacinque is meticulously crafted to reflect the personality of its owner, ensuring a personalized experience. The model will make its debut in Tokyo, Japan.
Automobili Pininfarina also introduced the PURA Vision design concept, a hyper GT incorporating design elements from Lancia, Florida, setting the stage for future brand models.
