Jake Dennis and his Andretti team had a big improvement from yesterday. Yesterday, they started at the back of the grid and couldn’t finish the race.
Dennis was very fast in the first part of the track, and he was slightly faster than Cassidy. Cassidy won yesterday’s race at the Tempelhof Airport circuit, but today he was behind.
As the race went on, Dennis was still faster. Cassidy made a mistake and went wide at a turn, which made him slower. Dennis didn’t have a perfect ending to his lap, but his time was still the best.
In the semi-final, it was like a team battle. Two Jaguar drivers raced against each other, and so did two Andretti drivers. Mitch Evans couldn’t beat Cassidy because he missed a turn slightly. Norman Nato started well but couldn’t keep up with Dennis.
In the quarter-final, Dennis beat Pascal Wehrlein. Wehrlein hit the wall slightly, which slowed him down. Nato also won his race against Stoffel Vandoorne, but it was very close.
Yesterday’s polesitter, Edoardo Mortara, couldn’t beat Cassidy. Mortara made mistakes, so Cassidy won, but the difference was not too big.
In the qualifying session, Dennis and Nato were the fastest. Jean-Eric Vergne missed out on going to the next round. Joel Eriksson, Jehan Daruvala, and Sergio Sette Camara also couldn’t make it.
Taylor Barnard finished tenth. He got his first points in Formula E yesterday. Antonio Felix da Costa was unlucky again and missed going to the next round by a small margin.
Cassidy was fastest in the first part of the session. Guenther, Evans, and Mortara were very close behind him.
Lucas di Grassi, Jake Hughes, and Oliver Rowland also couldn’t make it to the next round. Dan Ticktum got ninth place but will start the race from the back because of a penalty.
Paul Aron and Kelvin van der Linde completed the session. The difference between all the drivers was very small.
