The hybrid Kia Sorento has always been more expensive than the regular gas version. Now, with Kia releasing prices for the 2025 model, it’s getting even pricier. The top SX Prestige trim is going up by a whopping $4100 compared to last year.
In the 2025 lineup, the entry-level EX model of the hybrid Sorento starts at $40,065, marking a $1700 increase from its predecessor.
Equipped with a gas-powered 1.6-liter turbo four engine coupled with an electric motor, this model delivers a combined output of 227 horsepower. While the standard configuration routes power to the front wheels, an all-wheel-drive option is available for an additional $41,865, reflecting a more modest $1200 price bump. For those seeking the pinnacle of luxury and features, the SX Prestige variant commands a premium.
Priced at $48,265, it now carries a $4100 premium over its 2024 counterpart. This model boasts standard all-wheel drive and includes upscale amenities such as a microsuede headliner, ventilated front seats, and a sophisticated curved panoramic screen housing two 12.3-inch displays. Notably, the infotainment system is equipped with a new operating system that enables over-the-air updates.
Furthermore, the long-awaited wireless compatibility for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also here. While the nonhybrid Kia Sorento received a mid-cycle refresh in the previous model year, these enhancements were not immediately applied to the hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) Sorento variants. Pricing details for the latest iterations of the nonhybrid and PHEV Sorento models are yet to be disclosed by Kia, promising further updates soon.
