Remember that cool electric dirt bike Harley-Davidson showed off in 2018? Well, it seems LiveWire, Harley’s electric motorcycle brand, might be bringing it back! LiveWire just filed a patent that includes drawings very similar to that old concept bike.
It’s strange because LiveWire has other, newer designs they could have used in the patent. Why dust off this forgotten idea? It’s no secret LiveWire is struggling. Their current bikes are expensive. An affordable electric dirt bike (around $10,000) could bring in new customers and much-needed cash.
Maybe a cool, new electric bike is just what LiveWire needs to turn heads and attract new customers, especially those in trendy cities.
So, is a resurrected electric dirt bike in LiveWire’s future? The patent hints at it, and it could be a smart move for the company.
