Big changes are coming for the Rivian R1S and R1T electric vehicles! A leaked document reveals upgrades planned for the 2025 models.

These trucks will come standard with a new type of battery called a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. This battery is a bit smaller than the one currently used in these vehicles, but it’s also lighter.

Another new feature is a heat pump, which should help the trucks use less energy.

The document also hints at the possible range for these new Rivians. With the new battery and 20-inch wheels, the R1S SUV could go up to 380 miles in the city on a single charge! Bigger 22-inch wheels might even offer a bit more range at an estimated 405 miles in the city.

It’s important to note that this is just leaked information, and Rivian hasn’t officially confirmed these changes. But it looks like the 2025 Rivian R1S and R1T could be even more efficient than the current models.
